About this position

Due to the volume of work being generated in these unprecedented times, Vidu are in the search for a vast number of Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers Nationally, to support our clients and literally keep the wheels turning!!

These roles are permanent, temporary, part time and/or shift based.

Excellent salaries and hourly rates are available.

Its imperative based on the nature of our clients businesses, their working cultures, and how they operate that you can be flexible around your working hours, as you may be required to work early mornings, over night or the occasional weekend (overtime is also available)

Our clients are welcoming all Drivers to join their businesses. Whether you’re new to driving, experienced Driver or a retired Driver wanting to get out of the house, as long as you have the below skills and licences all Drivers are welcome to apply for these roles, and with such a varied client base keen to secure new Drivers in times such as these, there are opportunities for many of you who are ready for a change or in need of work to secure a new job.

Once you have registered with Vidu, giving an overview of your qualifications, location and when you are available to start work, you will be contacted directly through the platform within 24 hours and we will arrange for you to meet the Operation Managers at the relevant depots (based on your location) and you will be invited to an assessment day.

Skills and experience required

Full HGV C+E/C licence held for at least one year.

A valid DQ Card (DCPC)

Own a valid Digital tacho card.

Have a maximum of 6 penalty points (for insurance purposes)

Good understanding of Drivers hours and regulations and of the working time directive.

Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK road network.

Flexible approach to work.

Excellent presentation standards.

A willingness to learn.

Have had no recent health scares, as with some
of the roles you could be lifting and handling heavy goods.

Excellent communication skills and fluent in English, as you will be in constant communication with our clients customers and also other members of internal teams.

Its essential you have the ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism at all times under any circumstance, internally or externally.
