Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an Indoor Account Manager to be based out of Nottigham on behalf of a rapidly growing express logistics business.

Scope of the role:

Build close and effective working relationships with a network of contacts within our clients customer base via telephone.

Ensure revenue and profit opportunities are maximised.

Sell in rate increases as and when necessary.

Identify and close additional revenue opportunities with the customer base via telephone
.

Develop a strong working relationship with internal colleagues
.

Build/Manage & Maintain an ongoing call cycle of existing customers

.

Main responsibilities:


Create a sustainable network of contacts and key individuals within the existing customer base.

Achieve and exceed productivity targets in line with our clients company policy.

Work with senior colleagues to develop action plans in line with strategic objectives for existing customers.

Provide a key role in the implementation of organic revenue.

Manage customer relationships by demonstrating value through regular service performance reports as required
.

Manage call cycles in order to ensure customers’ demands are met and any additional revenue opportunities are identified.

Manage customer trade against profile.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Parcels Industry and all our clients products.

Take ownership of any rate increases.

Submit accurate and timely activity reports.

Attend scheduled sales meetings as and when required.    



Measures:


Profit growth within your customer base.

Retention and growth of all customers where applicable within your customer base.

Achievement of Rate Increase Targets.

Support Credit Control when required to minimise Debtor Days.

Various KPIs such as call volumes or similar set out within a Monthly/Quarterly 1-2-1 framework.

Skills and experience required

Experience within either Parcels /Pallets /Logistics/Supply Chain industry is essential.

Ability to converse at all levels.

Detailed understanding of how to create value within relationships.

Proven track record of quality organic revenue generation.

Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Problem solving abilities; able to facilitate discussions.

Ability to travel within our clients network and to work autonomously in addition to being a real team player.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft: i.e. Excel, Word, Email, Access and PowerPoint
