Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an individual who has experience working in Inside Sales in addition to supporting external sales teams from a Business Development perspective.

You will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, who are responsible for the acquisition of new customers and you will be tasked with expanding our clients internationally dedicated client base.

The team you will be joining consists of experienced employees and works together with other operational and supportive departments within the organisation to achieve a high level of service for our clients customers.

Scope of the role:

You will be responsible for selling our clients full array of services, in particular their Road Freight service, by gaining new customers and enlarging volumes with existing customers.

The ideal candidate will also be responsible for providing administrative support to the Management team.

Other key responsibilities will include:

Gathering information about prospects and approaching them with 
information about the activities of our client.

Marketing activities.

Monitoring the development of existing and/or new prospects.

Enlarging volumes with existing accounts and new customers.

Providing day to day quotations and follow-up.

Joining the outside sales team on a regular base when visiting existing and/or new prospects.

Providing necessary quotations for tender process related to Amsterdam traffic.

Skills and experience required

Experience in a commercial job role (ideally in logistics)

Sound knowledge and understanding of Road Freight.

Strong communication skills, social skills, influencing skills and high commercial drive.

An extrovert, who is very emphatic, pragmatic, target driven and ambitious.

Good command of Dutch and English language (German is preferred)

Educated to a minimum MBO level or equivalent would be desirable.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

Accurate with a keen eye for detail.

Hands-on, flexible and receptive to change.
