About this position

Vidu is working on a super exciting assignment, in the search for an Inside Sales representative in Antwerp, on behalf of a globally renowned, super technology focused, Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain business.

€40,000 – €50,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus travel allowance, computer, phone, package and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Your Mission:

Reporting into the Head of Inside Sales, this role plays a vital part in our clients organisation.

You will be tasked with maintaining direct contact with customers (new and existing) and providing customers, overseas branches and the field sales team with support in quotations and follow up.

When quotations are confirmed as a booking, you will be required to do a smooth handover of that booking to the relevant operational team. You are also required to support with SOP creation and implementation of new business.

A large part of your daily task is prospecting and passing qualified leads to the external sales team to visit and develop.

Key Responsibilities:

Responding to incoming emails and enquiries from clients and providing them with quotations and service information.

Ensuring all incoming emails are answered in a timely manner.

Maintaining the relationship with our clients overseas offices and supporting them with spot rate enquiries.

Supporting our outside sales team with qualified prospects for development of new business opportunities.

Measure success – Reporting monthly to demonstrate the completion of agreed KPI’s: Number of quotes and success rate (including volumes, revenue and GP for the won business)

Number of sales leads provided.

New logos secured.

Average deal size.

Skills and experience required

3+ years logistics experience, in a sales or operational environment.

Team player, accurate, efficient, with the ability to think outside the box.

Flexibility and desire to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Excellent trouble shooting skills with the ability to resolve operational obstacles effectively and proactively.

Strong, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Determined / persistent to achieve department goals with a hands-on approach.

Ability to prioritise tasks.
