Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a hungry, driven, entrepreneurial Sales Manager on behalf of an extremely forward thinking, technology focused international shipping and freight brokerage, with an enviable reputation within worldwide express parcel delivery and transportation.

If you’re a consultative seller with a proven track record sourcing and winning upwards of £500,000 new business revenue per annum within international and domestic, and you like the sound of switching your career up a gear with a company where your voice will be heard, you are more than just a number and based on the value you add you will have a flight path towards managing your own team, this role will be right up your street!

£40,000 basic salary, £5,000 car allowance, uncapped commission structure( 10% of all gp generated for the lifetime of the account) 25 days holiday plus stats, pension and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Your Mission:

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth by selling a variety of Freight Forwarding and international parcel delivery services, in addition to building long term relationships with clients.

Your role will be to promote our clients services and increase the existing client base of business customers with the aim of maximising margins.

Key Responsibilities:

Alongside the Franchise Manager, develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve our clients company objectives snd revenue targets.

Actively prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.

Sell and promote our clients comprehensive range of freight forwarding and international parcel delivery services.

Identify and target potential new clients for international volume.

Build and maintain strong working relationships, internally and externally.

Negotiate and close deals, ensuring favourable terms for both parties.

Conduct market research to identify and analyse industry trends, new markets and growth areas, in order to target new prospects and really understand potential new customers’ needs.

Undertake a consultative and solution focused approach with new customers, ultimately becoming the logistics arm of their business.

Actively seek out new sales opportunities through a variety of means, including via Zint, cold calling, networking, emailing and making the most of all the main on-line platforms.

Undertake on-line demonstrations of our clients software, Webship+ to potential customers.

Negotiate business terms with new customers, over the phone, via email and/or face-to-face.

Assist with onboarding new customers, ensuring they are fully aware of all the services offered.

Nurture newly trading customers and assist in monitoring their first 12 weeks’ trading.

Analyse monthly sales reports in conjunction with the Franchise Manager, including customer revenue and margin summaries, retention reports and customer shipment performance.

External visits to customers and carriers, when and if the business deems necessary and attend relevant external local networking events.

Skills and experience required

Proven track record of success in sales within Freight Forwarding or international parcel delivery.

Good understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and international trade.

Excellent sales and negotiation skills with the ability to build good working relationships (internally and externally)

Bright and articulate with exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Proactive and self motivated with the ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team.

Proficient in using CRM software.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft office package.
