Vidu are working on a super assignment in the search for a Key Account Manager on behalf of a leading eCommerce distribution business.

Overall Role Purpose:

Reporting directly into the Head of Account Management, your role will be to maintain and develop business within a specific portfolio of key account customers through proactive account management. To develop strong relationships with key decision makers and identify and close opportunities for value added solutions.

Main responsibilities and key activities:

Consistently maintain and grow the revenue of the designated key account customer base whilst achieving the agreed targets set.

Develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers across the whole client base.

Negotiate, manage and implement agreed commercial agreements ensuring additional business is gained or protect existing business to achieve targets.

Create and implement strategic business plans, ensuring our client have an in depth understanding of their customer needs, opportunities, challenges and risks.

Proactively maximise all revenue opportunities from existing customers by ensuring they are aware of our clients full range of services.

Ensure all designated customers receive proactive contact within the agreed call cycle.

Respond quickly and efficiently to any competitor threat through building strong and meaningful relationships.

Identify and recommend to management, any service enhancement initiatives to meet our client’s customers needs and ensure all business opportunities are maximised.

Become knowledgeable about our clients customers and their industry.

Provide a high level of customer care.

Support lead sourcing and prospecting for new customers, self- sourcing and management of internal data sources.

Manage data for all clients in Open CRM, ensuring all information is logged, accurate and completed daily.

Grow Business Generation and KPI’s:

Direct contact with customers face to face at decision maker level within the agreed visit cycle.

To achieve the annual revenue grow target set which is in line with the overall business target.

Drive and maximise the sales pipeline within the customer portfolio to ensure new business is regularly developed.

Seek new business opportunities from non customers and convert to trading customers.

Develop and implement customer business plans which are in line with the overall sales strategy of the business.

High level of customer retention/satisfaction expected.

To support lead generation for the team, making sure new business activities are recorded.

Business reporting is completed accurately and on time.

Manage aged debt so total portfolio to be no more than 5 days of the agreed terms.

Skills and experience required

Experience in international parcel delivery would be advantageous, alternatively experience in the logistics sector, retail sector or a service related industry.

A strong and progressive sales background. Must be a strategic thinker, highly driven, self-motivated and enthusiastic about achieving agreed KPI’s.

Strong negotiation skills, service and customer service orientation, understands the business and value proposition.

Excellent planning, organisational and problem solving skills.

The ability to build and manage strong customer relationships, confidence to handle senior decision makers.

Excellent presentation, written and communication skills.

High commercial and business acumen, use of products, processes and internal systems.

Ability to work under pressure whilst always keeping our ethos and company values close to every decision you make.

A genuine team player, with the ability to work well with other members of the team and across all other functions.
