Vidi are working on a super exciting assignment, in the search for a Management Accountant, on behalf of a rapidly growing, globally renowned logistics business.
Our client are open to part qualified candidates also for this role as they do offer study support and study leave.
£40,000 – £50,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus flexible working, package and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Your Mission:
Reporting into the Finance Director, your role will be to provide accurate and timely financial information to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End Close:
Terminal Due’s: Issue & Reporting to Group.
Sales Orders vs Purchase Orders matching.
Cost Reconciliation.
Fixed Costs accruals.
Inter company PO’s, Stmts & Reconciliations.
Group reporting in Cognos – mthly, quarterly & yearly forms.
Cross functional collaboration with internal teams to ensure costs recorded accurately.
Tax provision booked: High level.
Ensure accuracy of general ledger entries & maintaining Trial Balances – manage day-to-day accounting operations.
Assigned Balance Sheet Reconciliations:
Investigate & Resolve discrepancies.
Cost management: Purchase order vs Invoicing and liaising with internal departments regarding discrepancies
Inter company management.
Financial Management & Compliance:
Assist in yearly Audit.
Audit plan.
Providing Supporting documentation as required.
Preparing schedules.
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies.
Preparing & submitting Quarterly VAT Returns.
Ensuring accurate recording of tax-related transactions in D365.
Ensure internal controls are adhered to eg authorisation protocol.
Review of accounts to ensure GM is accurately displayed.
Ensure compliance with internal and external documentation and reporting.
General & Administrative:
External statistical reporting requirements by government institutions – ONS.
Assisting in analysing financial data to identify trends.
Supporting the implementation of improvements to internal controls & processes.
Managing physical archiving rules and doing annual record retention clean outs and long-term archiving.
Cover for Treasury and Accounts Payable tasks.
Assisting in production of budgets and forecasts.
Qualified or Part qualified ACCA / CIMA.
Experience in Power BI would be advantageous.
Strong excel capabilities.
Proficiency in accounting software D365 – would be desirable but not essential.
