About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment on behalf of a pan-European leader in tailor-made transport, logistics and supply chain services, in the search for a Manager of Inside Sales.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Our team of dedicated consultants will be your first point of contact when applying for this role.

Role/Responsibilities:

You will be part of a highly dedicated and professional Sales team, who are responsible for the acquisition of new customers to expand their internationally dedicated client base.

Your team will consist of experienced Sales employees who work together with other operational and supportive departments within the organisation to achieve a high level of service for our clients customers.

You will be responsible for selling an array of our clients products, by gaining new customers and enlarging volumes with existing customers.

You will also be responsible for providing administrative support to the Sales and
 Tender teams, managing the Inside Sales department and maintaining a correct and timely flow of communication with Customer Services and Operational departments, in order to sell our clients products in the most effective and efficient manner.

Other key responsibilities will include:

Managing the Inside Sales department in Europoort in a target driven manner.

Generating new business and meeting Sales targets.

Lead Generation: Gathering information about prospects and approaching them with 
information about the activities of our client, cold-calling, social selling and 
marketing activities: 

Joining outside sales on a regular base when visiting existing and / or new prospects. 

Coordinating and completing tenders for Pan-European customers. 

Managing the quotation process including pricing levels. 

Weekly reporting of Sales KPI’s to the General Manager Sales. 

Providing annual appraisals of employees, facilitating the development of employees 
and possibilities for succession planning.

Skills and experience required

At least 5 years experience in a commercial role (preferably in an International 
logistics environment)

A passion for logistics.

Good command of Dutch and English language (German is preferred)

Educated to a Bachelor level or equivalent.


Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

Commercial drive.

Accurate with a keen eye for detail.


Flexible and used to working in a fast paced environment.

Team player. 


Strong communication skills.
