About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a National Business Development Manager – Airfreight, on behalf of a rapidly growing, privately owned logistics business.

£55,000 – £75,000 basic salary (dependent on experience and inclusive of car allowance) uncapped commission structure paid out for the lifetime of your accounts trading, holidays, pension and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to commence the initial search.

Your Mission:

To promote and actively sell our clients Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain solutions. There is an emphasis on selling Airfreight but you also have the option to sell other modes.

Maintain a highly motivated outlook, time management and maximum effort is essential to ensure financial targets are met and exceeded.

Scope of the Role:

Drive new opportunities and ensure personal KPI’s are achieved consistently.

Provide our client with Return On the Investment in you [ROI]

Be an inspiration to others, with the ability to build strong relationships (internal and external) and influence people.

Complete all required reporting expeditiously and accurately.

Maintain a healthy pipeline, continuously replenishing opportunities.

Have a flexible approach.

Ensure you execute tasks to the strategy as defined by the company.

Work closely with the team to drive growth and deliver results.

Skills and experience required

Proven track record of success selling Airfreight.

Proven track record of success selling Freight Forwarding/Supply Chain solutions.

Confident in selling and presenting at board level.

Possess an excellent level of insight into the market, customer needs and the drivers of customer experience.

The ability to respond and work at pace on a variety of projects.

Outgoing/engaging and confident personality.

Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.

IT Proficient – Microsoft Office.

Pro-active individual with ability to self-manage.

Strong team player keen to work across departments and develop clear recommendations using multiple data sources.

Willing to question and critically evaluate current ways of working.

Educated to degree level would be advantageous but is not essential.

Full clean driving licence or maximum of 3 points.
