Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a tenacious Business Development Manager to join our clients rapidly expanding UK Commercial Team. This role will form an integral part of their broader national and global team, as they continue their aggressive growth in the UK and worldwide.

Your Mission:

You will be responsible for engaging with senior C-level influential decision-makers at the world’s largest retail brands and clearly articulating all the benefits of our clients unique capabilities.

You will be required as part of the role to bring new highly desired, mid-market and fast growth clients on board, whilst diversify our mix of retailer verticals by adding to our existing global retailer portfolio.

Identify opportunities whilst creating and building long-lasting relationships quickly through trust and credibility is key. It is crucial that you are meticulously organised, passionate, have an eye for detail but also bring a high level of energy and focus to the role.

The company provides a generous uncapped commission scheme as part of this role, based on achievable targets for signing new key target clients. As an individual who is always looking to deliver above and beyond, this structure will give you the opportunity to add significant earnings in addition to your basic salary.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively generate and secure new business with prospective clients in the UK and global markets.

Manage complex multi-layered full sales cycles at highly desired Mid-Market prospective clients who have fast growth potential.

Ability to engage in conversations, develop relationships and strategically influence C-level & senior decision-makers across a broad range of multi-functional and interrelated departments.

Use a consultative approach to develop a deep understanding of prospective retail clients’ current pain points, business strategies and eCommerce objectives.

Research, qualify and prioritise inbound and outbound new business opportunities.

Accurately forecast new client wins and associated revenue opportunities.

Co-lead on and actively support tender processes.

Be comfortable with and lead proposal writing for Mid-Market new client opportunities.

Support the wider Commercial Team, initially working with the Sales Development Representative (SDR) regarding appointment setting and then effectively transitioning new clients to Account Management.

Achieve weekly and monthly targets and KPIs.

Actively maintain an accurate record of sales data via our CRM database using software provided.

Contract: Permanent (3 months probationary period)
Immediate start date
Monday to Friday contracted hours (09:00 – 17:30) complimented by a fully flexible and trusting approach to locations/timings.
26 days annual leave + public holidays.
Competitive base salary depending on experience, paid last working day of the month.
Commission based on performance against objectives, OTE (uncapped) per annum, paid quarterly.

Skills and experience required

Have a developed understanding of – and passion to learn more about – the last-mile, logistics, supply chain, eCommerce and technology sectors.

2+ years’ experience and demonstrable sales record selling to C-Level and senior decision-makers within the retail and E-commerce sector is highly desirable.

Degree qualified or equivalent experience.

Experience selling to C-Level and senior decision-makers within Logistics, Supply Chain and eCommerce departments.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced, ever-changing environment and relish the challenge of hitting ambitious monthly performance targets & KPIs.

Proficient IT skills especially MS Office.

Sales CRM pipeline management experience (e.g. Salesforce, Pipedrive).

Fluent English a must, with Spanish/French language skills desirable but not essential.
