About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an entrepreneurial National Business Development Manager to promote and actively sell our clients Freight Forwarding/Supply Chain solutions.

If you have a proven track record selling freight forwarding services and of creating innovative supply chain solutions for customers, and you’ve been feeling you have hit a glass ceiling in your current company, or are just ready for change and to embark on an exciting new adventure, this could be just the role for you.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Scope of the Role:

Reporting directly into the Group Sales Director your role will be focused on driving new opportunities and ensuring personal KPI’s are consistently achieved.

Key Accountabilities:

Delivering on New Business Targets.

Attending weekly conference calls and monthly meeting.

Submitting weekly report on current business and sales pipeline.

To understand and implement our clients pricing structure.

Be fully compliant with our clients sales presentations and be able to present to the highest standard.

Client retention.

Work closely with the wider team to understand current capabilities.

It’s important you fully understand the needs and key drivers of the business and how to integrate these into daily tasks.

You will work closely with overseas offices, possibly travelling to these as and when required, building strong working relationships at all levels.

Producing high quality and accurate work, ensuring reports are completed on time – every time.

Maintaining a healthy pipeline and continuously replenishing opportunities.

Skills and experience required

A proven track selling Freight Forwarding/Supply Chain solutions is essential.

The ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation and to a varied customer base.

An articulate speaker and creative thinker, with the ability to share views succinctly and sensibly.

Strong and creative IT Skills, especially involving MS Powerpoint and Excel.

An inspiration to others, and the ability to build strong relationships (internally and externally) and be a strong influencer.

An out of the box thinker.

The ability to embrace and drive positive change and a flexible approach.

Have a desire to motivate others and demonstrate a can do attitude.
