About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a National Business Development Manager who is looking to switch their career up a gear and manage their own team in the next 12-18 months.

£50,000 – £55,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus £6,000 per year car allowance, travel expenses, uncapped commission structure, 25 days holiday plus stats, pension and career development towards Management.

Our client are a specialist same day courier operating a nationwide service 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

With over 15 years’ experience, they offer a dedicated end-to-end service with vehicles range from small vans to artic trucks.

All vehicles are equipped with straps, blankets, and padding. Satellite tracking provides detailed information on the vehicle’s exact location for added security. They have over 50,000 sq ft of warehouse space, suitable for storage, pick & pack & distribution.

Your Mission:

You will work closely with the Commercial Director and the team to drive new business growth and maintain existing client relationships.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining a sales pipeline, using a range of techniques such as cold calling, email campaigns, and networking events.

You will be responsible for identifying new business areas and preparing proposals and presentations to secure new business opportunities.

Skills and experience required

4+ years experience in a similar Business Development Manager or Sales Role, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and work effectively in a team.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and a deep understanding of sales processes and techniques.

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in preparing and delivering presentations, proposals and negotiating contracts.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
