About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a hungry, driven, entrepreneurial New Business Development Executive on behalf of a rapidly growing, technology focused Express logistics business.

Our client work primarily with SME shippers, and as part of their growth plan and strategy they are looking to appoint a New Business Development Executive to focus on International.

There is a very competitive salary on offer with this role, £6,000 per year car allowance, uncapped commission structure – 20% of all GM for the lifetime of the account, 25 days holiday plus statutory, pension and excellent opportunities for career development and progression towards becoming a Business Development Manager.

Your Mission:

You will be responsible for generating and closing opportunities for International volume. You will working closely with Customer Service and Account Management to create a substantial pipeline and increase share of wallet throughout the client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete and own any internal bid/tender processes for International.

Meeting or exceed targets of new business (generated through international clients)

Grow the overall profit of the international P&L by closing high margin deals.

Build and hold close relationships with all other departments, owning the onboarding process of any new International business.

Manage and grow any onboarded International clients.

Contribute to the overall business strategy including target markets, products and proposition.

Seek opportunities to increase knowledge of competitors and contribute to our clients competitor matrix.

Work directly with clients and their teams to ensure the products, services and solutions are continuing to fulfil the specific needs and demands of the current and future client base.

National travel will occasionally be required.

Skills and experience required

Upwards of 2 years experience in International selling or account management.

Proven track record selling International/Cross border solutions.

Knowledge of selling to the B2C sector.

A good level of insight into the market, customer needs and the drivers of customer experience.

The ability to respond fast and work at pace.

Outgoing, engaging and confident individual.

Excellent written and communication skills.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Pro-active individual with the ability to self-manage.

Strong team player keen to work across departments and develop clear recommendations using multiple data sources.

Good negotiation skills able to close a deal that’s best for the business.

Ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally.

Can speak and act with credibility, and can both build and influence excellent cross functional relationships.

Full clean driving license or a maximum of 3 points.
