Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Commercially minded Operations Manager who likes the sound of being part of an innovative business operating across logistics, retail and ecommerce.

As a solid number 2 to the Operations Director, this role brings exciting opportunities for development both within the UK and across the 12 countries within which our client and their brand partners operate.

£40,000 – £45,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)
company performance related bonus structure
23 days holiday plus statutory (increasing 1 day with each year service to a max of 28 days)

Your Mission:

Manage and support the day-to-day duties of the operations teams. Manage the provision of operational support to both the network and directly to customers.

Supporting the Operations Director by liaising with third party providers, managing supplier contracts, developing the departmental strategies and improving processes and performance. Reporting on departmental day to day activity and financial and reputational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the assigned departments.

Liaise with suppliers and courier partners to negotiate contracts and provision of services.

Support franchise network and help increase profitability through the implementation and management of new products and services.

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.

Monitor and analyse operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

Manage and optimise resources to achieve operational goals.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, specifically Anti Money Laundering regulations, holding the post of Deputy Compliance Officer.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency.

Oversee the recruitment of new team members with the support of the People Department.

Provide leadership and guidance to the operations management team.

Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Deal with high level complaints from network escalating to Operations Director where necessary.

Skills and experience required

Proven experience in operations management or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of operational processes and best practices.

Demonstrated ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Proficient in using relevant software and tools.
