Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Pricing Analyst, on behalf of rapidly growing, extremely technology focused eCommerce distribution business in Tilbury.

£40,000 – £45,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus KPI related bonus, industry leading benefits package and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.
Your Mission:
As Pricing Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients growth strategy by developing, maintaining, and optimising the company’s parcel pricing frameworks.
The role involves analysing shipment data, market benchmarks, and carrier cost structures to deliver accurate, competitive, and profitable pricing for both domestic and cross-border e-commerce solutions.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and data-driven professional who thrives on turning complex datasets into actionable insights and influencing commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Development & Modelling:
Build and maintain parcel pricing models for domestic and international services.
Support customer tenders and RFP responses with tailored pricing proposals.
Monitor competitor pricing, industry benchmarks, and tariff changes (e.g., IEEPA, de minimis thresholds, surcharges).
Data Analysis & Insights:
Analyse parcel volume, weight, and dimensional data to identify cost drivers.
Provide insights into yield performance, margin optimisation, and lane profitability.
Produce regular reporting dashboards to track pricing performance.
Commercial Support:
Partner with Sales and Account Management teams to design customer-specific tariffs.
Conduct scenario analysis to assess impact of carrier cost changes or regulatory developments.
Support negotiations with carriers (e.g., postal operators, couriers, final-mile providers).
Governance & Compliance:
Ensure all pricing models are fully documented, auditable, and aligned with business rules.
Maintain accurate records of rate cards, tariffs, and customer-specific agreements.
Monitor regulatory and customs changes impacting pricing strategies.
Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modelling).
Previous experience in pricing, commercial analysis, or finance (ideally in parcels, logistics, or e-commerce).
Understanding of carrier pricing mechanisms (dimensional weight, fuel surcharges, accessorial charges, etc.).
Ability to translate data into actionable commercial recommendations.
Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of international e-commerce logistics and Incoterms (e.g., DDP, DAP, IOSS) would be advantageous.
