If you have experience in a logistics, last mile delivery or service centre/warehouse operations environment looking to step your career up a gear, these are opportunities not to be missed!
$50,000 – $60,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus KPI related bonus (up to 30% of your basic salary)
Your Mission:
This role is in full control of everything that happens within the service centre in relation to our clients collections. As Quality Control you will be responsible for the quality of DSP pickups, the design of collection routes, the handling and scanning of parcels through the service centre capacity management on the line haul back to the hub, and cost control on collections — all in service of hitting the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).
The Regional Manager will support and guide you, but the day-to-day ownership of service quality within the service centre will sit with you!
Key responsibilities:
DSP partner & route management:
Work with DSP partners to ensure the quality of pickups is maintained at the agreed service level.
Build out collection routes using our clients applied routing logic: dedicated collection routes in areas of high store density, and delivery drivers collecting on their existing routes in areas of lower density.
Continually review route design as the store network grows, to keep routes efficient and on-SLA.
Service centre operations:
Receive parcels into the service centre in the early evening once DSP drivers return from their routes.
Ensure every parcel is scanned into the service centre on arrival.
Ensure every parcel is scanned out of the service centre when loaded onto the vehicle heading back to the hub.
Maintain a clean, accurate record of parcels in and out of the service centre at all times.
Line haul & capacity management:
Manage capacity on the daily line hauls back to the hub, ensuring volume is matched to available vehicle capacity.
Flag capacity constraints early so they can be resolved before they affect service quality.
Cost control:
Keep control of the cost logic behind collections, ensuring our client is paying the best possible pricing for the collection of parcels.
Review collection costs regularly and raise any anomalies or opportunities to reduce cost without compromising service.
Overall accountability:
Act as the single point of accountability for everything happening within the service centre in relation to our clients collections.
Escalate to the Regional Manager where support is needed to protect the SLA.
What good looks like:
Metric – DSP pickup quality / on-SLA collections – Target – Agreed SLA met consistently
Metric – Parcels scanned in / scanned out accuracy – Target – 100%
Metric – Line haul capacity utilisation – Target – Matched daily to volume, no overflow
Metric – Collection cost vs. budget – Target – At or below agreed cost per collection
Experience in a logistics, last-mile delivery, or service centre / warehouse operations environment.
Comfortable managing relationships with delivery partners (DSPs) day-to-day.
Strong attention to detail, particularly around scanning and parcel accuracy.
Analytical enough to manage route design, capacity planning and cost control.
Able to work early evening hours to align with DSP driver return times.
