Scope of the role:

This is a brand-new role that has been created to enable our client to support their ever-growing lane of un-deliverable parcels and create processes and management of the activity globally back to their distribution centres. This becomes even more prevalent in a post Brexit world, where the management of reverse logistics has the potential to be even more complex. In addition, our client are embarking on an exciting project within the business, which will enable managed returns, this role will support that function by managing the activity of collating SOPs and RFP information from carriers and supporting the implementation of those carriers.

If you have experience in the end-to-end carrier industry, preferably with experience of eCommerce returns solutions and you understand return solutions, and any industry related innovations, feeling you’re ready to switch your career up a gear with an exciting, challenging new role, this will definitely be of interest to you.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage stakeholder relationships within the business to ensure timely delivery of project rollout.

Manage carrier partners and collate information to support the project team.

Facilitate the kick-off with our IT team and partner requirements.

Be point of contact for carrier management team on the returns project.

Work closely with the Head of Returns to manage the expected project roll out timeframes and report any risks or issues in a timely manner.

Create and review processes to support global undeliverable.

Forecasting and carrier planning for un-deliverable parcels.

Work closely with operations to manage volumes and challenges with the un-deliverable process.

Work closely with finance to understand associated spend and costs of un-deliverable’s.

Support all carrier implementations working with the implementation manager to have a smooth roll out.

Support the Carrier Management operational requirements and IT road maps.

Work with the Internal teams to ensure optimized solutions exist.

Pro-active SLA and KPI monitoring and management.

Owning and conducting regular carrier reviews, with the carrier management team.

Identify opportunities to enhance reverse solutions.

Peak/holiday and seasonal planning, pushing boundaries to provide best solutions.

Able to identify cost related risk and where necessary implement corrective action.

Skills and experience required

Experience of global carrier market with exposure to global returns solutions in the eCommerce sector.

Awareness of international carrier operations.

Previous experience of working with 3PL providers alongside multiple Carriers, or within a retail environment managing multi carrier strategies.

Creation of business cases.

Experience of presenting to senior management level.

Commercially aware/astute.

Ability to adapt to rapid change.

Ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Team Player, with a strong focus on collaborative working.

Ability to communicate affectively at all levels.

Project Management skills (desirable)

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
