Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment on behalf of an extremely innovative tech business who have created a digital platform and mobile solution for the freight and shipping industry. They connect shippers with a trusted network of carriers, streamlining the process of placing, tracking and paying for shipments.

Our client has been recognised as one of the fastest growing start – ups in the UK, and is transforming the road freight industry at a rapid pace.

They have engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Role Overview:

Based on this years growth plan and strategy, our client are looking to appoint a very entrepreneurial, high energy, driven sales individual with a proven track record of attracting and converting new business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales/business development individual ready for the next step up in their career, who wants to make a real difference, work very autonomously and carve out a flight path for their career based on the value they add.

Working with our client you will be recognised in the industry as being part of a team growing something that is literally moving the logistics world into the 21st century, quickly and seamlessly.

You will report directly into the Commerical Director, working to land new business from shippers and carriers across a wide range of industries, including ambient, temperature controlled and container haulage.

Ideally our client would like someone who understands technology advancements in the logistics sector and who can apply their knowledge to convert new business.

Skills and experience required

Minimum of 3 years European Road Freight, European Logistics sales and/or Customs Brokerage experience.

Sales track record of upwards of £600,000 new business wins.

A hunger and drive to be the best, and an attitude which always sees you going the extra mile for your clients, with the added ability to be able to think outside of the box.

Current industry relationships with key decision makers at a senior level and the ability to develop this network further and really hit the ground running would be desirable.

A proven ability to communicate at all levels, internally and externally.

A great listener who also has strong persuasive and negotiation skills and the ability to create solutions.

Excellent processing and time management skills, working remotely and on your own initiative and thriving under pressure.

The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to critical deadlines.

Strong communication and presentation skills- native or excellent English.

Client relationship management abilities.

Ability to gather client feedback and present to the tech team.

Technically strong – interested in tech and it’s applications.

Energetic and highly motivated.

Ability to analyse what’s working/not working and offer solutions.

A team player and a willingness to help broke loads when our client are busy.
