About this position

Vidu are running an exciting assignment in the search for an entrepreneurial senior sales executive/sales manager to promote and actively sell our clients Freight Forwarding/Supply Chain services.

Our client have engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Vidu’s team of dedicated consultants will be your first point of contact when applying for this role.

Reporting directly into the Area Sales Manager of this Global, Multi Billion turnover Freight Forwarding/Supply Chain company, your role will be focused on driving new opportunities and ensuring personal KPI’s are consistently achieved.

You will support the local sales team, making direct sales visits and customer service calls where and when necessary. Working closely with the local team to drive growth and deliver results through the branch is an important part of this role.

It’s important you fully understand the needs and key drivers of the business and how to integrate these into daily tasks.

You will work closely with overseas offices, possibly travelling to these as and when required, building strong working relationships at all levels.

Producing high quality and accurate work, ensuring reports are completed on time – every time is an essential part of the role.

You will be responsible for maintaining a healthy pipeline and continuously replenishing opportunities.

Skills and experience required

3 to 5 years experience in a similar position selling Freight Forwarding/Supply Chain solutions, with a proven track record of generating in excess of £1 million new business revenue is essential.

The ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation and to a varied customer base.

An articulate speaker and creative thinker, with the ability to share views succinctly and sensibly.

Strong and creative IT Skills, especially involving MS Powerpoint and Excel.

Be an inspiration to others, and have the ability to build strong relationships (internally and externally) and be a strong influencer.

Have a flexible approach, as no two days are the same and situations will arise which simply have to be dealt with even if not outlined within a job description.

The ability to embrace and drive positive change.

Have a desire to motivate others and demonstrate a can do attitude.
