About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Senior Business Development Manager to work within the Client Development Team of a rapidly growing, extremely innovative express logistics business.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search.

Our team of dedicated consultants will be your first point of contact when applying for this role.

Scope of the Role:

To take full ownership managing some of our clients major corporate accounts. You will take complete control of the customers and be responsible for every aspect of the client (right from design through to implementation and management).

This role is very high profile and you will be exposed to all senior people within the business, which, based on the value you add could lead to exceptionally strong development opportunities.

You will be accountable for:

The management and retention of our clients corporate client portfolio.

Managing the full end-to-end process with their customers.

Driving service performance and enhancing margins.

Robust contract management.

Maintaining and managing cash-flow.

Liaising with Operational Management to recommend workable solutions to service level recovery programmes and new initiatives (service improvement, corrective measures, ad-hoc solution design)

Analysing and implementing change through our clients business and their customers’ business.

Driving margin improvement through strong commercial acumen.

Skills and experience required

Previous experience in account management, key account management or sales within eCommerce, logistics, parcels, retail or technology is essential.

Industry knowledge and experience of B2C home shopping would be desirable but not essential.

Experience of operational cost, commercial profitability and P&L.

Excellent relationship building skills internally and externally.

A proven track record of upsell and cross sell.

Ability to work under your own initiative and be self-motivated.

Strong presentation skills and business acumen.

Experience of procurement and tender processes.

Must be articulate and comfortable dealing with people at all levels.

Full Driving licence (This is an agile role and there will be significant travel, you may often be working unsociable hours)
