Vidu are running a fantastic assignment in the search for not 1, but 2 Senior Client Account Managers, for a market leading Distribution company.

Our client have engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Vidu’s team of dedicated consultants will be your first point of contact when applying for these roles.

Reporting directly into the Customer Engagement Director, you will be the main point of contact for all client management. The key purpose of this role is to manage the relationship between the client and our client.

Job role:

To deliver agreed new business revenue targets from an existing, and new business client base, in addition to providing a high level of service and maintaining excellent working relationships with key clients. Ultimately promoting our clients proposition.

Managing multiple client accounts and portfolios, with annual revenues of up to £60m, across all areas of Parcels, Retail & Logistics and Primary Trucking businesses. Inclusive of developing, building, nurturing and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Create positive relationships across multiple locations and teams.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders both internally and externally to deliver results. And together with key stakeholders in the business, support the negotiation of client accounts.

Own and run the re-tender process.

Co-ordinate and liaise with teams from other areas of the business working on the account to ensure consistency in approach and service.

Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to client needs and business objectives.

Communicate client needs clearly and succinctly to the business.

Together with key stakeholders in the business, support the negotiation and renewal of client accounts.

Manage clients for the length of the relationship.

Ensure the client and account is maintained for as long as possible, supporting and driving sustainable and profitable growth.

Work collaboratively with the Sales Team, ensuring client transition to the account management team is performed effortlessly and has minimal impact on the client during this phase.

Develop flexible SMART business plans and account plans for clients to support the growth of profitable business.

Deliver sales targets across assigned client accounts.

Develop partnerships with key customers within client accounts by identifying and delivering value added activities & services which help drive business growth.

Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to client needs and business objectives.

Manage contractual obligations and ensure effective delivery.

Forecast and track KPIs; prepare and deliver sales and service reports.

Up sell and x-sell, to develop new business opportunities and new revenue streams with existing clients.

Efficiently engage and influence at all levels internally and within the client’s organisation.

Meet regularly with nominated client contacts to build effective working relationships.

Communicate with internal teams on all customer related queries to seek quick and effective resolution.

Work closely with the Finance team to develop financial growth plans and models to achieve business targets.

Support Finance to reduce aged debt, resolve retailer payment issues and ensure commercial agreements implemented.

Skills and experience required

Previous experience in a client-facing role within a Distribution and/or Logistics environment.

A proven track record of working with clients on their strategic plans (3-5 years) agreeing sales targets.

Proven account management experience at a senior level.

Comfortable producing costing sheets, managing project budgets and reconciliation.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to manage relationships and influence.

Proven track record of meeting or exceed targets.

The ability to demonstrate skills of working with different levels and types of customer groups and influencing key decision makers.
