About this position

Vidu is working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a strategic and results driven Senior Project Manager, on behalf of a rapidly growing, technology focused, eCommerce distribution business based in the South East of England.

Your Mission:

Reporting directly into the Managing Director of Ecommerce, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful completion of complex projects, ensuring they align with organisational objectives, manage resources, timelines, and budgets. This will entail managing teams, mitigating risks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and budgets, and oversee the execution of these plans.

Manage and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts.

Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement them to minimise negative impacts.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, budget, and potential issues.

Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and materials, to ensure project success.

Ensure that project deliverables meet established quality standards and stakeholder expectations.

Oversee the successful completion of projects, including handover to relevant teams and documenting lessons learned.

Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects stay within financial constraints.

Skills and experience required

Min 5 years project management experience.

Ecommerce knowledge and experience – Desirable.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to identify and resolve complex problems effectively.

Familiarity with project management software and tools [e.g. MS Project, Jira]

Depending on the industry, specific knowledge and experience may be required.
