About this position

Vidu are running an exciting assignment in the search for a Senior Sales Development Manager on behalf of an extremely innovative company, who build pioneering technology solutions for people in Transport across all sectors. Our client specialise in Tachograph Analysis, Fleet Management, Safety Checks and Micro Learning.

Our client have engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

The Mission:

Identify Tasks and Responsibilities:

Identify key prospective targets within the specified region or vertical market and implement a contact strategy to secure appointments with decision makers.

Gain a thorough understanding of client’s competences and credentials – recognising regional/vertical market priorities, industry issues and hot topics, in addition to potential solutions and the ROI opportunities to be derived.

Ensure customer engagements are pre-qualified, thorough, consultative and multi –discipline engaging.

Proposals and presentations are to corporate standards, accurate and tailored to the specific opportunity.

Build and manage sales pipeline.

Negotiate and close profitable contracts with new customers.

Ensure contact records, and account plans are maintained and kept current.

Submit weekly & monthly sales reports as required.

Participate in internal meetings where required.

Work in close co-operation with colleagues from other cross functional teams to leverage skills and seek buy in where appropriate to maximise sales success.

Maximise revenue and margin generation achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets, which will be agreed prior to commencement.

Efficient record keeping, with a diligent and competent ability to maintain customer records.

Skills and experience required

Senior Sales Manager with a minimum of 5 years, software or fleet sales experience (demonstrable track record of success) and a proven track recording of successfully managing teams.

Demonstrable commercial experience commensurate with structuring £100,000 – £1m+ contracts (from inception to close)

New business success essential.

Must be a ‘self-starter’ capable of initially identifying relevant opportunities and facilitating engagement at board level.

Highly developed strategic selling – comfortable engaging with board directors of all disciplines to establish understanding of requirements and buy in.

Excellent all round interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to manage / influence all levels (internally and externally).

Excellent presentation skills with an inherent ability to close business opportunities.

High levels of planning, organisation, motivation, creativity and results focus.

Strong written and presentation skills.

Literacy with all Microsoft Office applications.

Desirably educated to degree level but not essential.
