About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Solution Design Specialist to be based in the Netherlands, focused on the Contract Logistics division of an extremely innovative, technology driven logistics business.

Scope of the Role:

Support in the development of compelling proposals and business cases to secure new business with both new and existing customers, developing leading class business intelligence reporting for engineering development and KPI reporting and to ensure our client is kept up to date with the latest product, solutions and trends in the logistics market.

Key Accountabilities:
Develop clear and accurate analysis studies on customer data.

Develop accurate cost models.

Support the development of request for quotation proposals.

Assist the Leadership Team CCO in the research and preparation of various assignments.

Support the development of business cases when requested.

Support the development of business intelligence tools as our clients leading tool for engineering analysis and KPI management.

Undertake other analysis projects when required to do so.

Networking / Teamwork:
Support the project manager on the implementation of new projects.

Develop with departments, suppliers, consultants and others as necessary fully costed solutions.

Efficiencies:
Continuously search for ways to improve the efficiency of CCO.

Produce engineering solutions that lead directly to cost down improvements or new business wins with new and existing clients.

Project Management:
Undertake specific projects as defined on the agreed years and quarterly targets.

Take the lead as Project Manager on specific projects when requested to do so.

Customer presentations:
Present solutions to customers and stakeholders (internal / external)

Prepare in conjunction with the CCO customer presentations.

Skills and experience required

Sector Knowledge:
Proven track record creating innovative supply chain solutions within Contract Logistics.

Understand markets with experience in logistics/transportation/warehousing solution design.

Commercial edge and judgement.

Essential Functional/Technical Skills:
Excellent analytical and solution engineering design.

Excellent presentation and report writing skills to effectively present our clients solutions.

Good knowledge of computer packages – office, business intelligence, load planning and optimisation tools.

Ability to gain commitment with Key stakeholders.
