Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an SQL Data Analyst on behalf of a rapidly growing eCommerce distribution business.

Scope of the Role:
The role will be focused around creating reports and interrogating SQL data on a live system, and then reporting on the commercial information to the businesses Managing Director of Finance.
It’s imperative you have an excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 2014 and are able to construct complex SQL queries to obtain the data our client requires.
You will be working on a live system, therefore it’s extremely important you are competent in understanding, in depth, how the relevant systems work together so the key information can be reported effectively. You will not only need to understand the data but also be able to provide a commercial insight and analysis to the wider business.
Key Responsibilities:
Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the business.
Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes.
Set up and maintain automated data processes.
Mine and analyse large datasets, draw valid inferences and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool.
Identify, evaluate and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing.
Develop and support reporting processes.
Liaise with internal teams to fully understand data content.
Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
Prepare reports for internal audiences using business analytics reporting tools.
Create data dashboards, graphs and visualisations.
Producing reports by running pre-canned SQL queries.
Improve the use of data within the company and advise on reports that should be self-generated by business users.
An excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.
A background in Finance and/or Data Analysis.
Strong understanding of constructing complex SQL queries.
A team player with the ability to also work well autonomously.
Experience working in fast paced, agile environment where no one day is ever the same.
TSQL experience.
Excel experience.
