Overall Role Purpose:

Reporting directly into the Head of Account Management you will be responsible for supporting profitable revenue growth within a multi million designated customer portfolio. To identify, qualify and generate new revenue within existing customer base ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.

You need to be highly motivated, a self-starter and have the ability to work closely with all members of the sales team offering proactive/reactive support to our clients customer’s needs.

Main responsibilities and key activities:

Consistently maintain and grow the revenue of the designated customer base whilst achieving the agreed targets set.

Maintain, develop and grow the pipeline opportunities within the designated customer base.

Proactively maximise all revenue opportunities from existing customers by ensuring they are aware of our clients full range of services.

Ensure all designated customers are visited within the agreed contact cycle, ensuring strong and meaningful relationships are secured.

Respond quickly and efficiently to any customer enquiry, via telephone or email.

Proactively engage with Telesales, Indoor Account Managers, Account Managers, Business Development Managers and Key Account Managers when dealing with new or existing customers.

Provide a high level of customer care.

Support lead sourcing and prospecting for new customers, self- sourcing and management of internal data sources.

Follow up on all leads identified or provided through our internal data strategy.

Support regular sales campaigns to identified prospects using internal marketing templates available.

Manage data for new and existing clients in Open CRM, ensuring all information is logged, accurate and completed daily.

Direct contact with customers, face to face meetings, quality over quantity ensuring clear objectives are set for each appointment.

To achieve the annual revenue grow target set which is in line with the overall business target.

Seek new business opportunities from new customers and convert them to trading customers.

Planning and organisation, diary should be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

Management of incoming calls/emails from our customers or internal stake holders which are then updated within CRM if required.

Provide high levels of customer retention/satisfaction.

Support lead generation for the team, making sure new business activities are recorded within CRM.

Skills and experience required

A progressive and proven track record of Account Management/Relationship Management within International delivery, logistics, or retail.

A genuine team player with the ability to work well with other members of the team and across all other functions.

The ability to build, manage and maintain strong customer relationships.

Excellent face to face sales skills, ability to motivate and influence customers at all levels through to board members.

Highly driven, self-motivated and enthusiastic about achieving agreed KPI’s.

A good communicator, communicates well verbally and in writing.

High commercial and business acumen, use of products, processes and internal systems.

Ability to demonstrate high planning and organisational skills.

Strong negotiation and influencing skills, service and customer service orientation, understands the business and value proposition.

Ability to work under pressure whilst always keeping our ethos and company values close to every decision you make.

Experience of maintaining a CRM/data base system.
