Vidu are working on a really exciting assignment in the search for 2 Customs Technicians on a Temp to Perm Full Time Employee (FTE) basis on behalf of a major provider in the field of customs brokerage.
These roles are to support our clients onsite standalone customs bureau activities. Their Bureau works with 3rd party freight forwarders and carriers in addition to our clients other branch offices, issuing CFSP customs clearance instructions, supporting customs requests, and also issuing NES export declarations.
If you have a mimimim of 2 years experience in an Import / Export – Administration / Operator or Executive role, with good organisational skills, the ability to work as part of a team and have experience of support team lead in all Adhoc duties, this is a definitely a company you want to be talking to.
Our client are keen to talk to individuals who can demonstrate the below skills and experiences to support their growing customs bureau activities:
Import requirements (via CFSP processes):
Collecting documentation from 3rd party carriers.
Issuing customs clearance instructions and monitoring log in line with HMRC requirements.
Ensuring necessary documentation is received back from carriers within KPI timing.
Answering and dealing with any queries.
Quality checking supplementary declarations before transmitting.
Transmitting declarations to HMRC within agreed turnaround times.
Communicating with 3rd party carriers and customers to ensure processes are adhered to.
Any other specific requirements which are required as part of the customers standing instructions or SOP requirements .
Any other ad hoc work.
Desirables:
At least 2 years’ experience within an office environment.
Previous knowledge of either Import or Export customs processes.
