Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Territory Sales Manager to be based out of Burnley on behalf of a rapidly growing logistics business.

Role summary:

Building a close network of contacts with current and prospective customers that will result in you being able to develop and implement market sector sales plans within your own catchment area. In addition, you will be responsible for contributing to innovative and creative pipeline solutions alongside sales colleagues nationwide.

Key responsibilities:

Work closely with the General Manager and Regional Sales Manager to implement the sales strategy and business plan for the area, making best use of C&D fleet capacity to collect from prospect customers.

Achieve and exceed sales targets in line with our clients growth plans across all services.

Define and manage customer prospects to maximise sales growth.

Work with our clients Bid Management Team, to deliver effective tender responses to specific customer opportunities.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of our clients group product portfolio and all associated features and benefits and to tailor those benefits to the needs of the customer.

Submit accurate and timely business forecasts and chair regular sales meetings.

Use the sales tools in line with the agreed sales process to maintain and develop sales pipeline and customer information.

Skills and experience required

Extensive sales experience within parcel, mail, express, freight, or a service based business.

Strong sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, networking and campaign management).

Detailed understanding of the sales process and demonstration of world class sales rigor, hunger and determination.

Proven track record of closing major opportunities. Professional sales and negotiating training.

Proven sales ability with historic success at exceeding new business targets, whilst excelling at customer retention through professional account management, development and planning skills.
