Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Territory Sales Manager to cover Swanley and surrounding areas, on behalf of a rapidly growing, forward thinking express logistics business.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to commence the initial search.

Scope of the Role:

To generate new business revenue and profitability from prospective clients within a designated area by:
Building close and effective working relationships with prospective clients
Developing and implementing market development plans
Identifying and qualifying opportunities for new product sales
Developing a multi layered relationship with Group departments

Key Responsibilities:

Work with the Regional Sales Manager to implement the sales strategy and develop the short, medium and long term business plan to achieve targets.

Engage with sales leadership and other functions to influence; marketing, pricing and target setting in own territory and feeds back market intelligence gathered through the sales process.

Use the sales tools in line with the agreed sales process to maintain and develop sales pipeline and customer information.

Qualify all new business opportunities to ensure resource is effectively allocated.

Create a sustainable network of contacts and key individuals within new opportunities while identifying suitable market growth opportunities.

Define target list for suspects based on clearly defined criteria that maximises return for the business.

Work with marketing to convert prospects and leads, returning maximum ROI.

Achieve and exceed sales targets in line with our clients growth across designated product ranges.

Develop relationships with senior level contacts.

Deliver effective tender responses to specific opportunities.

Maximise the margin from new revenue streams ensuring customers trade to agreed profiles in line with kpi’s.

Close and retain new business streams.

Build an effective relationship within designated area with General Managers, Customer care managers and Business Development Managers.

Attends team meetings (Service Centre and Regional Sales) and contributes as necessary on own individual performance, prepares for manager review meetings and completes sales activity reports accurately and on time.

Measures:

Actual monthly and annual revenue and margin.
Contracted forward revenue and margin.
Planning and Preparation review document.
Accompanied Observation reports.

Skills and experience required

Extensive experience within either Logistics or Retail, FMCG sector.

Strong sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, campaign management)

Detailed understanding of sales process and demonstration of world class sales rigour.

Proven track record of closing major opportunities.

Excellent networking ability and natural communication style.

Problem solving abilities; able to facilitate discussions and onboard/implement new clients with regards IT, operational, and finance elements.

Able to travel within designated territory and able to work with the minimum of supervision.

Microsoft XP (Excel, Word, Email, Access, Power Point)

Excellent presentation skills.

Results driven, self confident individual with an ability to empathise with clients at all levels.

Able to work both alone and well as part of a team.

Consistent drive and energy, positive attitude.
