£50,000 – £55,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus package, and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead and manage the Accounts Payable, Billing and Credit Control functions, including oversight of outsourced finance functions, providing support and operational cover where required.
Oversee the end-to-end purchase ledger process, including invoice approvals and the preparation and execution of payment runs.
Manage weekly billing processes, ensuring all shipments are invoiced accurately and within agreed internal KPIs.
Oversee the customer credit process, ensuring appropriate review, approval and risk management controls are in place.
Prepare and deliver weekly financial analysis and reporting to the Finance Director, providing clear insight into performance and key trends.
Lead the month end balance sheet reconciliation process, including bank accounts, trade debtors, trade creditors and all other accounts within the transactional remit, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Report on clear SLAs and KPIs providing clear explanations to any shortcomings or over-performances.
Take full ownership of VAT reporting and submissions, ensuring compliance, accuracy and adherence to statutory deadlines.
2 – 4 years’ experience at a Finance Manager level.
Minimum Level 4 AAT qualified /BSC Degree or Equivalent.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with expertise in complex formulas and the ability to design workbooks that automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes.
Knowledge of courier operations, and familiarity with air and road freight logistics would be desirable.
Experience working with accounting and finance systems, such as Sage and Xero, to support transactional and reporting processes is essential.
