Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment on behalf of a global SaaS technology e-commerce shipping platform, in the search for an entrepreneurial, solutions focused individual, with a proven track record of success in a commercially focused Operations or General Manager role, alternatively a Strategic Sales/Business Development individual with an operational background within eCommerce distribution, International or Cross-Border.

Scope of the Role:

You will be responsible for the success of our clients expansion into the UK market—overseeing all aspects of the business. You will be accountable for managing operations, developing new business, increasing profitability and taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage every aspect of our clients newly expanding operation in the UK.

As the business builds you will also be responsible for recruiting and managing your team, including performance monitoring, mentoring, developing and training.

Negotiating with vendors and service providers needed for production.

Collaborating with local businesses to acquire all necessary resources and services.

Synthesising monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on progress and development.

Networking effectively with local clients and develop strong professional relationships.

Contributing to the overall global success of our clients business.

Skills and experience required

Previous experience in a commercially focused Operations or General Manager role, alternatively a Strategic Sales/Business Development role specifically within eCommerce distribution, International/Cross-Border.

Highly motivated and reactive to change.

The ability to influence senior stakeholders (internally and externally)

Strong inter-personal and communication skills and the courage to challenge.

Agile and driven to deliver in a fast paced environment.

The ability to work well autonomously and well as part of a team.

Results orientated and driven by goal achievement.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Full UK driving license (this is an agile role and will require travel)
