Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a USA Trade Lane Manager, on behalf on an extremely innovative, forward thinking and technology driven eCommerce distribution business.

With a strong presence in the UK and Europe, they are now looking to strengthen and optimize their USA trade lane operations to enhance service delivery and customer experience.

Circa $90,000 – $100,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus industry leading package, KPI related bonus structure and INSANE opportunities for career development and progression.

Your Mission:

As USA Trade Lane Manager your role will be to oversee and optimize our clients parcel operation, once shipments arrive at US airports.

You will be responsible for managing their five US gateways, overseeing customs clearance, and ensuring smooth final-mile delivery via their US partners.

The role will require strong relationships with brokers, final-mile carriers, and airlines to maintain efficiency, compliance, and service excellence across the UK-to-US trade lane.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:
Oversee all inbound shipments arriving at US airports, ensuring seamless processing and movement through their five gateways.

Broker & Compliance Oversight:
Manage relationships with customs brokers, ensuring timely clearance and compliance with US import regulations.

Final Mile Delivery:
Optimize performance with US partners, ensuring cost-effective and reliable final-mile solutions.

Carrier & Airline Coordination:
Work closely with airlines to maintain capacity, monitor performance, and resolve any transit delays affecting service levels.

Process Improvement:
Identify inefficiencies in the trade lane, implement solutions, and enhance operational performance to meet SLAs.

Reporting & Analytics:
Track and report key metrics, including transit times, clearance delays, and final-mile performance, to drive continuous improvements.

Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the key point of contact for internal teams and external partners, providing updates and resolving issues proactively.

Skills and experience required

5+ years experience in international logistics, trade lane management, or parcel operations.

Strong knowledge of US customs clearance processes, regulations, and brokerage management.

Experience working with final-mile carriers and optimizing last-mile delivery solutions.

Proven ability to manage airline partnerships and oversee freight movement across international lanes.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a hands-on approach to operational challenges.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with brokers, carriers, and internal teams.

Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics to improve service performance.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
