Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of a leading Supply Chain Management company based in the Netherlands.

Scope of the role:

Reporting directly into the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for training, supervising and evaluating the performance of all Warehouse employees.

Assign workloads and tasks to your team members, and ensure that the team is adhering to approved processes, health and safety rules, company policy, values and ethics.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work and maximum productivity is achieved by all assigned warehouse workers.

Responsibilities:

Managing activities of the Warehouse Team and RMA, inclusive of securing shift coverage and planning of headcount.

Directly managing Warehouse Team Leaders, RMA coordinators and RMA technicians.

Regularly reviewing and evaluating performance of assigned teams.

Communicating with agency regarding recruitment, interviews and problem solving.

Preparing recruitment requests to HR, based on situation in the team and customers’ workload forecast.

Overseeing fulfilment of training matrix, updating skill matrix.

Fulfilling set targets in productivity, quality, accuracy, discipline, 5S and on time execution of tasks.

Regularly reporting KPI results, identifying root cause for missed targets and implementing corrective measures.

Proposing improvements and searching for cost savings opportunities.

Ensuring that H&S and Fire Prevention policy is understood by all team members, and adhered to on permanent basis.

Auditing 5S compliance on a regular basis, as per agreed check list and timelines.

Cooperating with the Customer Service and Transportation team, ensuring on time reactions to their requirements.

Participating on warehouse operations related projects.

Actively seeking for security gaps, participating in investigations, and timely resolving any issues around security.

Applying problem solving, best practice, sharing and seeking innovative solutions in cooperation with other teams across the business.

Skills and experience required

Previous experience in Warehouse Management is essential, along with Process and Project Management experience (You must be able to demonstrate
your experience participating in projects)

Strong leadership experience.

A Team player with the ability to also work autonomously.

Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high pressured environment.

A good communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.

Empathetic.

Good organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
